Hi Lan, Thank you so much for the info which is very helpful. Just wondering how you prepared for the other 2 papers. It seems to me the pharmacology and pharm prac paper are getting harder as the questions become more clinical-based, and studying standard textbooks is just not enough. It would be great if you would provide some tips on these papers. Cheers.
Hi Lan, thanks for publishing this blog. I too am planning on taking the HK Pharmacy Boards exam and would appreciate if you could provide tips on which book(s) you would recommend to study for the Pharmacology and Pharmacy Practice.
I'm sorry guys, I did the exams in 2011 when they were still relatively straightforward, have they both become more difficult? I did hear that the pass rate for the Pharmacology exam was exceptionally low the following year though I don't know what was in the paper. I can only tell you that I based my studying on past papers and revised the topics using a combination of whatever text books I had on hand and Wiki! I expect if you are fresh out of uni your uni notes and text books will suffice.
